The International Play Association (IPA) is proud to announce the release of a summary document on the General Comment on Article 31 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child

The IPA played a critical role in the General Comment and has written the summary for easy understanding and distribution. It is currently being translated into Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese. A children's version will also be available shortly.

If you would like to translate the document into another language please contact Cynthia Gentry at Communications@IPAworld.org.

The US Play Coalition 2014 Conference on the Value of Play: Collaboration and Creativity in partnership with IPA/USA

February 16-19, 2014
Madren Center, Clemson, South Carolina

Sessions start at 1 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2014 and the program concludes Tuesday evening following the closing banquet, which is provided to all attendees as part of normal registration.

Collaboration and creativity are two key skills in the 21st century and they are naturally developed and encouraged through play. Further, our ability to create partnerships across schools, businesses, parks, medical centers, and communities will increase opportunities for play throughout life and will promote happier, healthier living.

In order to address these important areas, the 2014 conference will feature six tracks: Education, Programming, Park and Recreation, Health, Business/Corporate, and Children’s Museums.
