Objectives

•    We publish an international magazine, PlayRights, two times a year in English and partly in Spanish, and a USA Newsletter four times a year.

•    We hold a national conference every three years.

•    We hold consultations, special seminars, symposia, and workshops on current issues (national and international).

•    We hold a World Congress every three years. The next one is planned for Cardiff, Wales in July 2011.

•    We were appointed by the Committee for the International Year of the Child (1979) as a lead organization for the working group "Children and Their Surroundings: Play and Recreation."

•    We act as a resource for other international organizations and UN agencies by providing consultations, speakers, and serving on committees.

•    We promote Article 31 of the Convention for the Rights of the Child.
